The Gresham Barn Sale is one of my favorite things I look forward to in the Spring. They have everything from vintage finds, to weathered “junk” (my favorite), to antiques – all at great prices! There isn’t a single room in my house that doesn’t have something I have found from there. Not only do I search for items for my home, I always have an eye out for items to use in my photography as well. This month Jodi, the owner, is currently selling one item a day in the month of February on Facebook. You can find her page here.
I found this quilt in the fall for just $28!
I found this bookshelf that we used in my son’s bedroom there a few years back. It really is one of my favorites (but if you ask, I pretty much say that about all of them, hah)! We also found this old Coca-Cola box and used it to store trains in.
This little church pew was the first purchase I made when we moved a couple years back. I get so many complements on it! The wall clock above the pew I purchased during the Christmas Sale, when Jodi brings in vendors of hand-made items.
This old window sits in the eating area of our kitchen and though it is naked now, I layer seasonal decor over it and really makes a nice background for Christmas cards or birthday banners!
This quilt cabinet sits in my daughter’s room and I use it to hold all of her accessories and diapering items. The bottom stores her blankets and sheets. I love the character this brings to her room!!! Jodi inspired me to refinish the crib with chalk paint and a few of the frames above her crib also came from The Barn Sale.
The headboard of our bed was actually an old mantel that we added backing and a base to and then repainted it. It is now the focal point of our room and really makes a statement!
Last, but not least, I found this antique scale that I plan to use with future newborn sessions after I clean it up and give it a little paint! I will write another blog about it when it is complete!
